Grande Cache Lake

The natural setting of the Municipal District of Greenview No. 16 provides opportunities for a wide range of recreational pursuits, including horseback tours, photography, canoeing, hiking trails, cross-country skiing, trout fishing, hunting, camping, white water rafting and kayaking, hang gliding, downhill skiing, jet boating, mountain touring, cat skiing, wildlife viewing, fishing, and hunting.

Grande Cache is the "Gateway to the Willmore Wilderness Park", which comprises 4,464 square km of pure unspoiled mountain wilderness (motorized vehicles are not allowed). There is a network of trails in the Willmore Park, most of which are the same trails used by the natives and trappers of yesteryear.

Other recreation areas include Kakawa Falls and the Little Smoky Natural Area.

Campgrounds are located in Grande Cache, Valleyview, Fox Creek and in the hamlets.

Some golf courses include Robertson's Pitch & Putt, Grande Cache Golf & Country Club, Silver Birch Golf Course, Valleyview Riverside Golf Course, Grovedale Golf Course, Greenview Golf Course, and the DeBolt Golf and Country Club.

Many community organizations, sports clubs and service groups are active within the M.D.
