M.D. Hamlets

There are several hamlets located throughout the Muncipal District of Greenview No. 16. They provide residential opportunities to enjoy the comfort of quiet country residential living with basic services.

• Hamlet of Little Smoky

  • Located between Valleyview and Fox Creek. This hamlet boasts larger residential lots and is close to the Little Smoky River. The hamlet has a store, motel, restaurant, country shop and community hall.

• Hamlet of Ridgevalley

  • Located just off Hwy #43, 42 kms west of Valleyview. Ridgevalley is a growing hamlet. This community is home to an auto body shop and several unique home based businesses, a school, senior's housing and large residential lots.

• Hamlet of DeBolt

  • Located on Hwy #43, 50 kms west of Valleyview. DeBolt provides an excellent opportunirt for retirement living and commuting to either Valleyview or Grande Prairie. There are recreational opportunities, commercial businesses, affordable housing and senior housing units.

• Hamlet of Landry Heights

  • Located 10 kms south of Grande Prairie, off Hwy 666.  A country residential subdivision with large self-serviced lots. This small community provides people working in Grande Prairie the advantage of a short commute while enjoying the wide open spaces of country living.

• Hamlet of Grovedale

  • Located 20 kms south of Grande Prairie on Hwy 666. This hamlet also provides large country residential lots with municipal sewer. The community recreation center and hall, along with Penson School and a commercial area, provide an excellent setting for rural living. The community also has a fire hall and rodeo grounds.
